Blue Fringe Arts celebrates and acknowledges the creativity of people with a lived experience of mental illness.

Based in the Blue Mountains to the west of Sydney, we are a community organisation working in partnership with other groups to support and encourage artists, writers, photographers to produce and display their work.

To this end we hold two competitions each year:

The only criterion for entry is to have had a lived experience of mental illness and to be 16 years or older.

The development of this website, with the assistance of Kevin Hardwick, supports the role of Blue Fringe Arts and its work in expanding the creative and healing opportunities for people who have experienced or face the daily dilemma of dealing with mental illness.
